Hand hydraulic crane with manual extension and electric wire hoist
The selected solution is a Knap On Crane Hand Hydraulic, where the jib is raised using a manual hydraulic pump. The crane is equipped with:
- Manual extension of 1.5 metres
- Maximum lifting capacity of 350 kg
- Electric wire hoist
- Rear door installation
The combination of manual hydraulic lifting and an electric wire hoist provides a simple and reliable lifting solution. The manual hydraulic system raises the jib, while the wire hoist performs the actual lifting operation.
As a van-mounted crane, this model can rotate through a full 360 degrees, allowing it to reach both outside the vehicle and deep into the cargo area. This provides excellent flexibility when loading and unloading equipment.
Reliable power supply
The electric wire hoist is powered directly by the vehicle’s 12V battery. The system is designed so that it does not drain the battery unnecessarily and does not require the engine to idle while the crane is in operation.
This gives the customer an efficient van crane without unnecessary fuel consumption or additional strain on the vehicle’s electrical system.
Installation in either the side or rear door
In this installation, the crane is mounted in the rear door, but we have also installed cranes in the side door of Mercedes Sprinter vans for other customers.
The ideal mounting position depends on the customer’s workflow, site access, and how the vehicle is used on a daily basis. Regardless of the installation location, the crane is configured to provide the best possible reach, functionality, and safe operation.
Flexible solution with the universal base plate system
The crane is installed using our universal base plate system, providing an additional level of flexibility.
This allows the crane to be removed from the base plate without tools and transferred to:
- Another van equipped with a base plate
- A trailer
- Another work unit prepared with a compatible mounting plate
