In this case, we supplied and installed a Knap On Crane Hand Hydraulic with manual extension and electric wire hoist. The solution was developed for a customer who handles heavy cable drums on a daily basis and therefore needed a stable and flexible crane for their flatbed truck.
The goal was to create a safe and efficient lifting solution that could handle heavy lifting tasks while remaining easy to operate in a busy working environment.
The installed crane has a lifting capacity of 350 kg and a manual extension of 1.5 metres.
The crane arm is raised using the hand hydraulic pump, while the electric wire hoist handles the actual lifting operation.
This combination provides a robust and reliable crane solution suitable for both service tasks and heavier lifting operations.
As a crane for a flatbed truck, the manual extension provides excellent reach, allowing the customer to easily reach both the ground and the truck bed.
The wire hoist operates from the vehicle’s 12V battery and provides a practical solution that makes daily work easier without requiring unnecessary installations.
To further optimise the solution, we developed a custom hook that makes it easy to lift large cable drums on and off the truck bed.

The crane is mounted using our universal base plate system. This allows the crane to be lifted out of the base plate and moved to another compatible base plate without tools.
If base plates are installed in multiple vehicles or on a trailer, the same crane can therefore be used in several locations.
