In this case, we installed a Knap On Crane with Electric Lift, electric extension, and an electric wire hoist in a Mercedes Vito. The solution is used for handling tools, machinery, and materials that need to be moved in and out of the cargo area without heavy manual lifting.
The objective was to create a flexible and reliable lifting solution that improves workplace ergonomics while maintaining the vehicle’s payload capacity and cargo space.
The selected crane is designed with a focus on high functionality, low own weight, and safe, reliable handling of equipment.
Mounted in the rear door, the crane can rotate deep into the cargo area to reach equipment stored at the front of the vehicle. It can then be swung back out through the rear door, allowing loads to be lifted and placed safely outside the van.

When not in use, the crane folds away neatly, taking up very little cargo space and leaving room for shelving systems, tools, and materials. It requires no additional vehicle inspection or approval after installation.
