Lifting Cart for Evida

Evida, Denmark’s gas distribution company, approached ASP Product with a specific challenge from their field technicians.

During installation, service and repair work on gas systems, employees often operate in confined areas where heavy components need to be lifted and positioned with high precision. Evida places strong focus on workplace safety and wanted a solution that could reduce heavy lifting, improve daily workflows and increase safety.

In close collaboration with Evida and the technicians who use the equipment every day, ASP Product developed a customised lifting and transport cart that makes handling heavy and compact components easier, safer and more efficient.

The Challenge

Evida’s technicians work on gas installations throughout Denmark, often in narrow and difficult-to-access areas.

These environments provide limited space for traditional lifting equipment, while many components are heavy, difficult to handle and require precise positioning.

Without a customised solution, employees often had to:

• Perform heavy manual lifting of components.
• Work in uncomfortable and physically demanding positions.
• Use unsuitable equipment that could not reach close enough to the working area.

This created both a risk of injuries and an inefficient workflow.

Evida therefore needed a compact, flexible and mobile solution that could improve the working environment and reduce physical strain for their technicians.

Our Solution

ASP Product developed an innovative, customised version of a transport cart specifically designed for Evida’s working conditions.

The solution combines mobility with multiple lifting options, allowing technicians to choose the method that best fits the specific task.

The cart provides:

• Lifting with lifting beam and chain hoist – for controlled handling of heavy components.
• Lifting with manual winch – providing flexibility for different lifting situations.
• Manual transport in confined areas – where larger lifting equipment cannot be used.
• Vertical transport position – allowing the cart to be used as a traditional transport solution.

The customised cart was designed to be compact and easy to manoeuvre across Evida’s different work environments.

To reduce physical strain, the cart can be separated into sections, preventing heavy lifting when loading and unloading it from service vehicles.

The height of the cart was also specifically designed so it could be stored upright inside Evida’s service vehicles, based on the technicians’ own requirements.

Development and Customisation

The development process was carried out in close cooperation with both Evida and their technicians.

To ensure the solution matched real working conditions, Evida tested the prototype at different work locations. Based on their feedback, the design, height, functions and operation were adjusted and refined.

This development approach is a key part of ASP Product’s work with custom solutions. It ensures that the final product is not only technically correct but also perfectly adapted to the environment where it will be used.

The completed lifting cart is now an integrated part of Evida’s daily operations and helps technicians safely lift and handle heavy components, especially in locations where traditional lifting equipment cannot be used.
