Special solution for window installation with NordMas

ASP Product has once again delivered a customised solution for one of Denmark’s largest construction projects, the expansion of Copenhagen Airport. In collaboration with NordMas, ASP Product developed a specially designed lifting attachment that plays a key role in the installation of the large windows for the airport’s new terminal.

The challenge 

The large windows used in the project required a safe and precise installation method. Due to their size, weight and fragile surfaces, standard lifting equipment was not suitable, as there was a risk of damaging or scratching the windows during handling.

The customer therefore needed a customised solution that could securely lift and position the windows while also providing flexibility and efficiency on the construction site.

Our solution

ASP Product developed a special lifting attachment designed to be mounted on the forks of a forklift truck. The attachment functions as a lifting anchor for the windows and ensures stable handling throughout the installation process.

The adjustable tool is mounted to the bottom of the window, while a crane lifts the top section to carefully position the window into place. This combination provides controlled handling and prevents damage to the large glass elements during installation.

By mounting the solution on a forklift truck, the equipment can easily be moved around the construction site, providing increased flexibility and making the installation process more efficient.

Installation and customization

The development process was carried out in close cooperation with NordMas to ensure that the solution matched the specific requirements of the construction project.

Through dialogue and testing, the lifting attachment was designed to handle the unique challenges of installing large windows safely and efficiently. The result is a robust and flexible solution that supports the installation team and improves both safety and workflow on the construction site.
