In this case, we installed a Knap On Crane with Electric Lift, electric extension, and wire hoist in our own service vehicle at ASP Product.

The crane is used for lifting the company’s own products and machines during service tasks and deliveries. The goal was to create a flexible and reliable lifting solution that reduces heavy manual lifting and improves the working environment for employees while maintaining the vehicle’s interior flexibility.

The selected crane is developed with a focus on high functionality, low weight, and stable, precise handling in daily operations.

The crane is installed in the side door and can both reach outside the vehicle and rotate towards the front of the cargo area. It can rotate throughout the entire cargo space, allowing employees to reach equipment along the full length of the vehicle, all the way to the rear.

This makes it particularly suitable for service work and transportation of heavier items, where ergonomics and safety are important factors.

When the crane is not in use, it takes up minimal space and requires no additional permits or vehicle inspection after installation.

Universal base plate system for maximum flexibility

The crane is mounted using our universal base plate system, which is designed to provide maximum flexibility across different vehicles and work tasks.

The solution allows employees at ASP Product to lift the crane directly out of the base plate in the side door and move it to the base plate installed at the rear of the vehicle.

This means the crane can quickly be positioned exactly where it is needed for the day’s tasks. The transfer is completed without tools, and all Knap On cranes fit the same base plate system.

This provides an economical and extremely flexible solution that can be adapted to changing requirements.
